FCAO DONATES CAR SEATS TO LOCAL OFFICES
The 2010 Christmas Project of the Foster Care and Adoptive Association of Oklahoma was to provide six child placing agencies with a child or infant car seat. Any agency (DHS, TFC or Tribal) in need of a car seat was eligible to be considered to receive a new seat for the transportation of children in care. The deadline for agencies to submit their request to be considered was December 15, 2010. A random drawing was held on December 16. A car seat was awarded to one agency in each of the six OKDHS Areas. The winners are:
Area I - Grant County OKDHS office
Area II - Cleveland County OKDHS office
Area III - Youth and Family Services of Canadian County
Area IV - The Bair Foundation (Pittsburg County)
Area V - McIntosh County OKDHS office
Area VI - Tulsa County 72D OKDHS office
Congratulations!!!!!!
FCAO DONATES CAR SEATS TO SHELTER
On December 2, 2010, FCAO provided several new car seats to the OKDHS Kinship Bridge Unit in Tulsa. The car seats will be used by the Laura Dester Shelter for foster children in Tulsa. FCAO was made aware of this need and wishes to challenge other groups to help share in the needs of your community. Many car seats that agencies use need to be replaced with newer ones..
